Design Beautiful Things

Pursley Dixon Ford Interior Design is a full-service interior design firm specializing in custom residential work. We endorse the same belief as our parent firm, Pursley Dixon Architecture, that 'Beauty Matters'. It is our desire to create spaces that are carefully considered, authentic, and evoke an emotional connection to those experiencing the space. Our distinctive designs can be found throughout the country, including North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Maryland, New York, Vermont, Wyoming, and Colorado, in addition to features in numerous publications including Veranda, House Beautiful, Connecticut Cottages & Gardens, and LUXE Interiors + Design. We were honored to receive the national Luxe RED Award for Residential Excellence in Design in 2021, and the Veranda/ADAC Award for Southeastern Designer of the Year in 2023.

Ken Pursley

Ken Pursley

Founder, Chief Executive Officer, Lead Dreamer

Working for his first firm at age 16, Ken’s architectural roots began early. While attending architecture school at Auburn University, he developed a passion for residential design and historic preservation. Upon graduation, Ken was able to cultivate his interest in residential design under the tutelage of his mentor and friend, Bobby McAlpine. While serving as a project architect at McALPINE, Ken was fortunate to work on a variety of homes and properties throughout the South. It was this exposure that eventually led him to venture out and sink his own roots in Charlotte. In 2005, Ken founded Pursley Architecture and in 2012 partnered with fellow Auburn alumnus Craig Dixon, forming Pursley Dixon Architecture. Ken is active in his community, formerly serving on the board of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission and chairing its design review committee. He is also a founding member of the Institute of Classical Art & Architecture – North Carolina Chapter and an active member of the Leaders of Design Council. When not designing beautiful homes, you can find Ken relaxing in his recently restored mid-century modern home, most likely with music playing and cocktail in hand.

Bronwyn Ford

Bronwyn Ford

Partner, Co-Founder of Pursley Dixon Ford Interior Design

A graduate of NC State University’s College of Textiles, Bronwyn started her career in management consulting and financial services. Though the project work was satisfying, she was curious to explore a more creative path, and returned to Queens University to draw, dream, and study interior design. Bronwyn joined Pursley Dixon Architecture in 2013 and was named partner and lead designer for Pursley Dixon Ford Interior Design in 2020.

Approaching every project like a unique problem-solving opportunity, Bronwyn enjoys tackling the constraints and coming up with the most distinctive solutions for each individual client.  She’s happiest working in tandem with her clients, team, and craftspeople to develop creative solutions and employ different materials, art, and objects to complete the spaces and complement the architecture. Bronwyn is an active member of the Design Leadership Network, and in 2023 was named ADAC Southeast Designer of the Year.  Outside of the studio, she enjoys traveling, exploring, and spending time with family and friends.  She is proud to be a Charlottean, and is blessed to spend every day working beside the most talented team of creatives in the Pursley Dixon Ford family.
